From Pandemic Hobby to Moodsips Customs: How I Turned a Random Craft into a Business

You know how people say, "Find what you love and make money doing it"? Yeah, I didn’t plan on that happening. But here we are. Let me tell you how I accidentally turned my crafty quarantine boredom into Moodsips Customs, LLC.

It all started during the pandemic when we were all stuck inside, losing track of time and binge-watching way too many shows. In a desperate attempt to keep my sanity, I decided to try resin art. No real reason—just something new to keep me from online shopping myself into debt. So, I made myself a rolling tray with an Aries logo on it (because, obviously, Aries energy is unmatched). It was just for me, something cool to have around the house. But then, I made the crucial mistake of posting it on Facebook.

Next thing I knew, people were sliding into my DMs asking where they could get one. Friends, family, random internet strangers—everyone wanted a custom tray. And they were willing to pay. At first, I was just charging for supplies, but then I realized… hold up, I like doing this, and if people are willing to buy, why not turn it into something bigger? That’s when the lightbulb moment hit, and in February 2021, I made it official and LLC’d my business.

Of course, my ADHD brain wasn’t going to let me stop at just rolling trays. I started thinking, "What else can I make?" Cue the impulsive purchase of a Cricut cutter and a stack of vinyl. At first, I was making custom cups and drinkware under the name Vinyl Fixations (because, honestly, I was obsessed with vinyl at that point). But as I started experimenting with new materials and designs, I realized my business was growing beyond just vinyl.

I needed a new name, something that captured the vibe of what I was doing. That’s when Moodsips Customs was born. Why? Because I loved making custom drinkware, and I had a thing for adding little moody, sassy quotes like "Bad and Boozey" or "Coffee First, Chaos Later." The name just stuck, and before I knew it, people started calling me "Mood."

Now, here I am, running a full-fledged custom product business, creating everything from personalized tumblers and engraved drinkware to unique gifts that people can’t find anywhere else. What started as a random craft project turned into a brand that lets me create, connect with amazing people, and bring a little extra personality to everyday items.

So, if you're looking for one-of-a-kind custom gifts, personalized drinkware, or just something that makes you smile (or roll your eyes in the best way), welcome to Moodsips Customs. I’ve got you covered. And if you’re an Aries—extra discount for you. Just kidding… maybe. 😉

Presidential Creativity: Leaders Who Overcame the Obstacles

Happy President’s Day!  Ever wondered what some of our past presidents would be like if they had a creative business or a blog? Turns out, quite a few of them had artistic passions, learning challenges, and even traits that align with ADHD! JFK: The ADHD Icon Before It Had a Name John F. Kennedy was known for his high energy, quick thinking, and ability to hyperfocus —all classic ADHD traits. He thrived under pressure and had an incredible ability to switch gears quickly. If he were alive today, he’d probably be the guy impulsively buying 14 different types of resin molds at 2 AM because he just had to try them all. 😆 FDR: The Original Blogger? Franklin D. Roosevelt wasn’t just a president —he was also a writer. He penned articles, speeches, and letters that kept the country motivated during tough times. If blogging had been a thing in the 1930s, you know FDR would’ve had a daily motivational blog with deep reflections, leadership advice, and probably some witty sarcasm. LBJ ...
