Four Days Post-Op: Rest, Recovery & Getting Back to Business

It’s been four days since my surgery, and while my main focus has been rest and recovery, my brain is already itching to get back into work mode. I’m gradually sitting up for longer periods, starting to wean off the pain meds, and feeling ready to ease back into my business—at a slow and steady pace, of course.

Marketing & Social Media Growth: The Next Step

Since my business, Moodsips Customs, depends on me being hands-on, I’m shifting my focus to what I can do from bed—marketing and social media engagement. Now is the perfect time to:

📢 Engage with My Audience – Expect to see me popping up more on social media, responding to comments, sharing updates, and making sure Moodsips Customs stays on people’s minds!

📧 Work on My Email List – Sending out updates, sharing deals, and making sure my subscribers are getting exclusive content. (Not on the list? Sign up here!)

🔍 Research Trends & New Products – There’s always something new in the crafting world. I’ve already been looking into custom fans for trailride line dancers (huge in South Carolina!), and I’m brainstorming ways to improve existing products while adding new, exciting options.

Crafting While Recovering: No Standing Required!

Since bending at the waist and standing for more than 2 minutes is a no-go right now, I need to find low-impact crafts that I can do from bed. Here are some ideas I’m considering:

🎨 Digital Designs – Creating new tumbler and t-shirt graphics using design software.
📿 Jewelry Making – Beaded bracelets or wire-wrapped rings that require minimal movement.
🖌 Hand Lettering & Decals – Practicing calligraphy and designing new vinyl decal ideas.
📔 Sketching & Planning – Mapping out future resin art, tumbler designs, and product ideas.

I need your help! Drop some suggestions for crafts that can be done from bed in the comments! What’s something creative I can work on without needing to move around too much?

Rest, but Make It Productive

At the end of the day, rest is the priority—but that doesn’t mean I can’t be productive in small ways. Whether it’s building my brand, researching new trends, or working on light crafts, I’m taking this time to heal while still moving forward.

Presidential Creativity: Leaders Who Overcame the Obstacles

Happy President’s Day!  Ever wondered what some of our past presidents would be like if they had a creative business or a blog? Turns out, quite a few of them had artistic passions, learning challenges, and even traits that align with ADHD! JFK: The ADHD Icon Before It Had a Name John F. Kennedy was known for his high energy, quick thinking, and ability to hyperfocus —all classic ADHD traits. He thrived under pressure and had an incredible ability to switch gears quickly. If he were alive today, he’d probably be the guy impulsively buying 14 different types of resin molds at 2 AM because he just had to try them all. 😆 FDR: The Original Blogger? Franklin D. Roosevelt wasn’t just a president —he was also a writer. He penned articles, speeches, and letters that kept the country motivated during tough times. If blogging had been a thing in the 1930s, you know FDR would’ve had a daily motivational blog with deep reflections, leadership advice, and probably some witty sarcasm. LBJ ...

From Pandemic Hobby to Moodsips Customs: How I Turned a Random Craft into a Business

You know how people say, "Find what you love and make money doing it"? Yeah, I didn’t plan on that happening. But here we are. Let me tell you how I accidentally turned my crafty quarantine boredom into Moodsips Customs, LLC. It all started during the pandemic when we were all stuck inside, losing track of time and binge-watching way too many shows. In a desperate attempt to keep my sanity, I decided to try resin art. No real reason—just something new to keep me from online shopping myself into debt. So, I made myself a rolling tray with an Aries logo on it (because, obviously, Aries energy is unmatched). It was just for me, something cool to have around the house. But then, I made the crucial mistake of posting it on Facebook. Next thing I knew, people were sliding into my DMs asking where they could get one. Friends, family, random internet strangers—everyone wanted a custom tray. And they were willing to pay. At first, I was just charging for supplies, but then I realize...
