Weekly Wrap-Up: Birthdays, Business & Feeling Semi-Normal Again

Happy Birthday, Trey! 🎉

First things first, shoutout to my younger brother, Trey, who’s celebrating his 43rd birthday! I hope he’s making a wish for something amazing this year (or at least a wish for me to finally get him a gift on time 😆).

First Outing in 8 Days & Feeling Human Again

After eight long days of being inside, I finally ventured out today! Nothing major—just a nail appointment and a quick stop for some lemon pepper wings (because, priorities). It felt so good to be out of the house, especially since today is my first pain-free day since surgery—no pain meds, no discomfort, just a little bit of me-time and fresh air.

Now, I’m back home, working from my home office for the first time since the procedure, and honestly? Sitting in my big, comfy desk chair has been a game-changer. I should’ve been here this whole time!

Getting Back to Business (Slowly, but Surely)

Since I’m sitting upright more than I’m laying down now, it’s time to start preparing for my vendor show next month. My focus? Rolling trays! They’re something I can work on with minimal movement—no bending, no overexerting myself—just creativity and resin magic. In fact, I’m feeling so good today that I think I’ll attempt my first resin rolling tray since surgery. Wish me luck!

Adjusting to a New Routine

One thing I am trying to work on is cutting back on daytime naps. The last few nights, I’ve been up into the wee hours of the morning, and while I love a good late-night hyperfocus session, I’d prefer to sleep like a normal person. 😅 With Daylight Savings Time happening this Sunday, I already know my sleep schedule is about to be extra chaotic, but hey—what’s new?

Taking It Slow, but Loving the Progress

I won’t lie—it feels amazing to feel semi-normal again. But I also know I can’t get too excited too soon. I’m still moving slowly and pacing myself, celebrating small wins along the way.

What’s one thing you’re celebrating this week? Let’s chat in the comments! 👇🏽

Presidential Creativity: Leaders Who Overcame the Obstacles

Happy President’s Day!  Ever wondered what some of our past presidents would be like if they had a creative business or a blog? Turns out, quite a few of them had artistic passions, learning challenges, and even traits that align with ADHD! JFK: The ADHD Icon Before It Had a Name John F. Kennedy was known for his high energy, quick thinking, and ability to hyperfocus —all classic ADHD traits. He thrived under pressure and had an incredible ability to switch gears quickly. If he were alive today, he’d probably be the guy impulsively buying 14 different types of resin molds at 2 AM because he just had to try them all. 😆 FDR: The Original Blogger? Franklin D. Roosevelt wasn’t just a president —he was also a writer. He penned articles, speeches, and letters that kept the country motivated during tough times. If blogging had been a thing in the 1930s, you know FDR would’ve had a daily motivational blog with deep reflections, leadership advice, and probably some witty sarcasm. LBJ ...

From Pandemic Hobby to Moodsips Customs: How I Turned a Random Craft into a Business

You know how people say, "Find what you love and make money doing it"? Yeah, I didn’t plan on that happening. But here we are. Let me tell you how I accidentally turned my crafty quarantine boredom into Moodsips Customs, LLC. It all started during the pandemic when we were all stuck inside, losing track of time and binge-watching way too many shows. In a desperate attempt to keep my sanity, I decided to try resin art. No real reason—just something new to keep me from online shopping myself into debt. So, I made myself a rolling tray with an Aries logo on it (because, obviously, Aries energy is unmatched). It was just for me, something cool to have around the house. But then, I made the crucial mistake of posting it on Facebook. Next thing I knew, people were sliding into my DMs asking where they could get one. Friends, family, random internet strangers—everyone wanted a custom tray. And they were willing to pay. At first, I was just charging for supplies, but then I realize...
