Rested, Recharged, and Ready: A New Chapter Begins

Good morning friends! It’s been a while since my last blog post, and there’s a whole lot to catch up on. Today marks the last day of my surgical leave, and tomorrow I’ll be heading back to the full-time grind—aka the Fullie—with a renewed spirit and a whole new mindset.

Resting, Restoring, and Reactivating

These past six weeks of recovery have been anything but idle. While my body was healing, my mind and creativity were in full gear. I’m proud to say I’ve accomplished so much during this time of intentional rest:

📚 I published my first fiction book!
The Vanishing Half-Life is now available on Amazon in e-book, paperback, and hardcover formats. It’s a psychological thriller and the first installment in my Half-Life trilogy. If you haven’t snagged your copy yet, check it out here: Amazon Link

🤖 I earned a certification in ChatGPT and Generative AI!

As part of that course, I even built my very own GPT model called the TRICARE Navigator to help simplify the dense TRICARE manuals and policy documents I work with daily. I’m incredibly excited to roll this out to my peers—it’s going to be a game-changer at work!

👩🏽‍👦🏽 I made unforgettable memories with my boys.

Being home allowed me to attend events at their school that I usually wouldn’t be able to. I chaperoned my 1st grader’s field trip to the SC State Museum, the planetarium, and the 4D theater (and swore off 7-year-olds for at least two years after that wild ride 😅). I also got to accompany my 3rd grader to the Koger Center, where he was honored for his artwork being inducted into the state art show for the second year in a row! Proud mama moment, for sure.

👕 Moodsips Customs LLC kept on crafting.

Though I took it easy, I still completed a few custom orders, and I’ve got a shirt order I plan to finish today. Business didn’t stop—it just slowed down to match the pace of healing.

Moving Forward

Now that I’m happy, healed, and healthy, I’m more than ready to return to my full-time role with fresh energy and powerful new tools in my toolkit. I’m also looking forward to diving back into Moodsips Customs with full creative momentum.

To everyone who supported me during this time, thank you. Whether it was a kind word, an order, or a simple check-in—you helped me through this journey.

Let’s keep the momentum going! Have you ever had a moment where slowing down led to something major in your life? Share it in the comments—I’d love to hear your stories!

Presidential Creativity: Leaders Who Overcame the Obstacles

Happy President’s Day!  Ever wondered what some of our past presidents would be like if they had a creative business or a blog? Turns out, quite a few of them had artistic passions, learning challenges, and even traits that align with ADHD! JFK: The ADHD Icon Before It Had a Name John F. Kennedy was known for his high energy, quick thinking, and ability to hyperfocus —all classic ADHD traits. He thrived under pressure and had an incredible ability to switch gears quickly. If he were alive today, he’d probably be the guy impulsively buying 14 different types of resin molds at 2 AM because he just had to try them all. 😆 FDR: The Original Blogger? Franklin D. Roosevelt wasn’t just a president —he was also a writer. He penned articles, speeches, and letters that kept the country motivated during tough times. If blogging had been a thing in the 1930s, you know FDR would’ve had a daily motivational blog with deep reflections, leadership advice, and probably some witty sarcasm. LBJ ...

From Pandemic Hobby to Moodsips Customs: How I Turned a Random Craft into a Business

You know how people say, "Find what you love and make money doing it"? Yeah, I didn’t plan on that happening. But here we are. Let me tell you how I accidentally turned my crafty quarantine boredom into Moodsips Customs, LLC. It all started during the pandemic when we were all stuck inside, losing track of time and binge-watching way too many shows. In a desperate attempt to keep my sanity, I decided to try resin art. No real reason—just something new to keep me from online shopping myself into debt. So, I made myself a rolling tray with an Aries logo on it (because, obviously, Aries energy is unmatched). It was just for me, something cool to have around the house. But then, I made the crucial mistake of posting it on Facebook. Next thing I knew, people were sliding into my DMs asking where they could get one. Friends, family, random internet strangers—everyone wanted a custom tray. And they were willing to pay. At first, I was just charging for supplies, but then I realize...
