Rested, Recharged, and Ready: A New Chapter Begins

Good morning friends! It’s been a while since my last blog post, and there’s a whole lot to catch up on. Today marks the last day of my surgical leave, and tomorrow I’ll be heading back to the full-time grind—aka the Fullie —with a renewed spirit and a whole new mindset. Resting, Restoring, and Reactivating These past six weeks of recovery have been anything but idle. While my body was healing, my mind and creativity were in full gear. I’m proud to say I’ve accomplished so much during this time of intentional rest: 📚 I published my first fiction book! The Vanishing Half-Life is now available on Amazon in e-book, paperback, and hardcover formats. It’s a psychological thriller and the first installment in my Half-Life trilogy. If you haven’t snagged your copy yet, check it out here: Amazon Link 🤖 I earned a certification in ChatGPT and Generative AI! As part of that course, I even built my very own GPT model called the TRICARE Navigator to help simplify the dense TRICARE manual...

The Vanishing Half-Life: A Story Unfolding, A Future Emerging

Hey everyone! It’s been a little while since my last blog post, but I promise it’s for a good reason. The past two weeks have been a whirlwind of creativity, final edits, and preparations because... drumroll please... my book The Vanishing Half-Life is officially releasing this Friday on Amazon Kindle, Paperback, and Hardcover! 🎉📖✨ A Psychological Thriller Like No Other I am beyond thrilled to introduce The Vanishing Half-Life , the first installment in my Half-Life series. This book marks my first foray into fiction writing, and I wanted to craft something that keeps readers on the edge of their seats. As a psychological thriller, this story will take you deep into the complexities of identity, memory, and deception. The book follows a woman who wakes up in an unfamiliar place, stripped of her past and uncertain of her future. As she pieces together fragments of her life, she realizes that nothing—and no one—is what it seems. The twists, turns, and psychological depth of thi...

Happy Hump Day! Easing Back into Work for a little March Madness

It’s been a minute since my last blog post, but I’m back! Last week was my two-week surgical follow-up , and in true doing-the-most fashion, I thought, if I can drive, I can get back to normal. So, I made a few “quick” stops —the craft store (of course) and the grocery store—because why not? Well, I paid for it later. 😩 By the time I got home, I was exhausted and sore , and it took me the entire week to recover . Note to self: Just because I can do something doesn’t mean I should. I did just have major surgery, duh! Easing Back into Work (The Smart Way This Time!) After that much-needed break, I’m feeling so much better and ready to ease my way back into some light work. I still have plenty of rolling trays to make and design , so that’s where I’ll start. I also have a few business ideas simmering on the back burner , but I’m still mentally working through the details before diving all the way in. March Madness Talk—Let’s Go! 🏀🔥 It’s officially March Madness season ,...

Weekend Wins & A Busy Week Ahead

This weekend was productive and creative —just the way I like it! I made three rolling trays , one on Friday night and two on Saturday, which means I definitely need to order more resin and start looking into some new tray molds to add variety. The vendor show next month is coming fast, and I want to make sure I have plenty of fresh designs ready to go! Creativity & Growth (for Both Me & the Kids) In between crafting, I had some quality creative time with my youngest son. He’s only 7, but his coloring skills are elite —the way he stays in the lines puts me to shame. 😆 This weekend also reminded me that while I’m still recovering and limited in movement , my kids are learning to be more independent . Even though they’re only 7 and 8, they’ve stepped up in ways that make this healing process so much easier. Watching them grow, take initiative, and help out has been a blessing—and I’m enjoying every moment of having a courtside seat to their independence.  Upda...

Weekly Wrap-Up: Birthdays, Business & Feeling Semi-Normal Again

Happy Birthday, Trey! 🎉 First things first, shoutout to my younger brother, Trey, who’s celebrating his 43rd birthday! I hope he’s making a wish for something amazing this year (or at least a wish for me to finally get him a gift on time 😆). First Outing in 8 Days & Feeling Human Again After eight long days of being inside, I finally ventured out today! Nothing major—just a nail appointment and a quick stop for some lemon pepper wings (because, priorities). It felt so good to be out of the house, especially since today is my first pain-free day since surgery —no pain meds, no discomfort, just a little bit of me-time and fresh air. Now, I’m back home, working from my home office for the first time since the procedure, and honestly? Sitting in my big, comfy desk chair has been a game-changer. I should’ve been here this whole time! Getting Back to Business (Slowly, but Surely) Since I’m sitting upright more than I’m laying down now , it’s time to start preparing for my ...

Rest Now, Hustle Later: ADHD, Recovery & Business Growth

Sitting still has never been my strong suit. Thanks, ADHD. But here I am, still in recovery, constantly reminding myself that rest now means more productivity later . I want to get up and move, get back into my usual routine, but I also know that pushing myself too soon won’t do me (or my business) any favors. So, what have I been doing instead? Research. Lots and lots of research. Resin Obsession & Business Investments If you didn’t know, they literally have a resin mold for everything. Watching videos on resin pouring techniques has been an adventure—people are out here making everything from coasters to full-blown furniture! When my full-time job bonus (aka the fullie ) drops, I’m reinvesting in my business once again. Everything I’ve been researching is something I can do from a sitting position with minimal movement , so once I’m ready, I’ll be rolling out some new resin projects that’ll take Moodsips Customs to the next level. I’m even looking into machines that ma...

It’s been four days since my surgery, and while my main focus has been rest and recovery , my brain is already itching to get back into work mode. I’m gradually sitting up for longer periods , starting to wean off the pain meds , and feeling ready to ease back into my business—at a slow and steady pace, of course.
